Patron Technology Achieves PCI DSS Service Provider Level 1 Certification

New York, NY — May 7, 2013

Founder and CEO Eugene Carr announced today that Patron Technology has achieved Service Provider Certification of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS), the most rigorous, industry-recognized payment-card security standard available globally. Achieving this level of PCI compliance means that all non-profit organizations and commercial clients using PatronManager CRM, its 100% web-based system developed in partnership with salesforce.com and the Salesforce Foundation, can be confident that Patron Technology adheres to rigorous security standards, including maintaining the proper security policies, procedures, and regulations, all of which reduce credit card theft and fraud.

“Data protection has been a top priority at Patron Technology since our inception, and it is essential that we offer our more than 350 organizations that are currently using PatronManager CRM — our integrated system for box office ticketing and subscriptions, donor database management, and professional e-mail marketing — the most secure environment for their patrons’ credit card information, personal data, and historical data,” said Carr. “Achieving this level of PCI compliance further demonstrates our ongoing commitment and investment in providing a simplified, streamlined payment process for the end user and the most secure cloud-based CRM service on the market.”

To achieve PCI DSS-Service Provider Level 1 validation, the level required for the companies with the highest volume of credit card transactions, Patron Technology underwent a comprehensive third-party examination of its policies, procedures, and technical systems by FishNet Security, Inc. “A passing Report on Compliance (ROC) is not easy to achieve. Patron Technology has worked very hard to implement a comprehensive security and compliance program that will ensure the security of their customers’ credit card data,” said Ed Martin, Director of PCI Compliance at FishNet Security.
The PCI Security Standards Council is an independent body formed to develop, enhance, disseminate, and assist with implementation of security standards for payment account security.
